REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Social Services
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Sanctuary Women’s Development Center (SWDC) Director is responsible for the supervision, safety, and care of daily clients. This includes managing and monitoring day-to-day operations, addressing client care needs and implementing social and learning activities for adults and children. The Director also provides case management services
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative:
- Provide administrative and case work supervision to case managers, including case review and chart audits.
- Create and implement policies and procedures in accordance with CARF standards.
- Supervise staff and student interns, including training, performance evaluations and development of work methods and procedures.
- Conduct program evaluation and design and participate in case consultations.
- Collaborate with community agencies to provide services to unhoused persons, including public speaking, attending meetings, conferences and training.
- Establish respectful relationships with persons served and apply appropriate interventions to meet services goals while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Coordinate policy development, program implementation, grant application and oversight, reporting, monitoring and collaboration with project partners.
- Coordinate services related to activities of daily living, including personal storage, mail laundry facilities and recreation.
- Conduct daily facility inspections for client rule compliance and safety.
- Manage learning activity schedules and content
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Social Services.
Direct Social Services:
- Provide engagement and intake services
- Conduct psychosocial assessment to identify client strengths and needs
- Develop service plans in collaboration with clients
- Plan, coordinate and monitor services, including collaboration with other providers
- Review of client progress and adjust services as needed
- Assist with scheduling and/or facilitating group classes on job search and daily living skills.
- Connect clients with community resources to support growth
- Conduct advocacy on behalf of clients and families
- Perform other service coordination activities as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises case managers, staff, interns and volunteers.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Advanced degree in social work or a related human services field, preferred
- Three to five years of experience in social services for children and families.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
- At least two years of experience working in a homeless shelter or outreach services.
- This position requires working closely with women in sensitive and personal settings. In order to preserve client privacy, dignity, and comfort, applicants for this position must be female.
- Demonstrated skills in case management.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experience in program and strategy development, budgeting, personnel management, and continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy boundaries with staff, clients, and students.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, parishes, and community partners.
- Ability to adapt communication style to diverse situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and ability to drive.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a sedentary position requiring:
- Prolonged sitting, walking, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
- Possible travel by car or plane, which may require extended periods of sitting or standing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office environment within a center providing direct services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
- May involve fast-paced decision-making and crisis situations.
