Hudson is seeking a Director of Retail Operations I to lead multi-brand retail operations with annual revenue up to $6M. You’ll drive sales growth, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experiences while building strong relationships with landlords, unions, DBE/Joint Venture partners, and brand representatives. This role requires strategic leadership, hands-on oversight, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do
- Lead Strategically: Partner with SVP/VP of Retail Operations to set revenue, expense, profit, and inventory goals; analyze KPIs and implement corrective actions with full P&L accountability.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure SOP compliance, oversee audits, manage opening/closing procedures, and collaborate with ACDBE partners on reporting and certification processes.
- Develop Teams: Make hiring, promotion, and termination decisions; conduct performance evaluations; champion employee engagement, coaching, and diversity initiatives.
- Manage Finances: Monitor financial and operational data, deploy resources efficiently, and collaborate on strategic financial decisions.
- Oversee Stakeholders: Maintain relationships with landlords, brand partners, and DBE stakeholders; coordinate facility maintenance and improvements.
- Optimize Retail Operations: Oversee store assortments, marketing support, inventory levels, receiving processes, and vendor communications.
- Ensure Brand & Market Excellence: Maintain compliance with brand standards, CBAs, lease agreements, and visual merchandising; monitor trends and consumer behavior to inform operations.
- Innovate & Grow Revenue: Develop strategies to increase sales, resolve complex issues, and drive adoption of new technologies.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Education:
- 8+ years of combined education and professional experience in retail operations
- 3+ years supervising operations teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field can satisfy up to 2 years of experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in retail, travel retail, or multi-brand environments
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
- Knowledge of retail product and service quality standards
- Exceptional interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Business acumen and strategic planning mindset
- Proven ability to create positive work environments, lead teams, and drive operational excellence

- Work schedule is varied and rotating, including opening, peak, and closing shifts
