The Opportunity

This is a highly visible leadership role offering broad exposure across acquisitions, development, public-private partnerships, structured finance, and portfolio strategy.

The Director, Real Estate Transactions & Asset Management will work closely with executive leadership and play a key role in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and executing transformative real estate projects across the organization’s growing portfolio.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats across transactions, development execution, capital structuring, and long-term asset strategy — while operating in a collaborative, mission-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex real estate transactions including RFQs/RFPs, developer selection processes, and deal negotiations
  • Drive execution of development projects from underwriting and structuring through stabilization
  • Structure layered capital stacks utilizing public and private financing sources, including tax credit programs and incentive structures
  • Build and analyze financial models, development pro formas, and investment scenarios
  • Oversee asset management initiatives across a diverse portfolio of mixed-use and community-oriented assets
  • Develop business plans, operating strategies, and capital improvement initiatives to maximize long-term asset performance
  • Coordinate with developers, consultants, architects, engineers, legal counsel, and financial partners throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with public agencies, community stakeholders, and investment partners on strategic initiatives
  • Support innovative financing programs and city-shaping redevelopment initiatives


What They’re Looking For

  • 5–12+ years of experience within real estate development, transactions, asset management, development finance, or related fields
  • Strong experience executing complex real estate deals and financial structures
  • Exposure to public-private partnerships, economic development initiatives, and/or tax credit financing programs such as LIHTC or NMTC is highly preferred
  • Strong financial modeling, underwriting, and analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex development processes
  • Experience across urban infill, mixed-use, civic, or community-oriented development projects is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on


Compensation

  • Base Salary: $120,000 – $140,000
