Position Overview

A direct commercial real estate bridge lender is seeking a Director of Originations to support its existing footprint in the Orange County region. The firm has recently increased its bridge lending capacity through a new institutional partnership, creating additional capital availability and a need for an experienced originator to develop and grow lending relationships in the region.


This role is focused on originating bridge and DSCR loans, building a sustainable pipeline, and establishing a strong presence within the Southern California market. If you are an elite producer who thrives on building a fast paced and high growth business, this is a career-defining opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate new bridge and DSCR loan opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, sponsors, brokers, and other referral partners
  • Structure and close loans across a range of asset types, including multifamily, mixed-use, retail, office, and other commercial properties
  • Build and manage an active pipeline of prospective transactions
  • Coordinate with internal underwriting and closing teams to move deals through the process
  • Establish and grow the firm’s lending presence across Orange County and extending throughout Southern California


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial lending, bridge lending, private lending, or CRE banking
  • Demonstrated production history and an established network in the Orange County market
  • Working knowledge of loan structuring, underwriting, and credit fundamentals
  • Active NMLS registration or California Real Estate Salespersons license
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities and experience evaluating complex transactions
  • Ability to build relationships and manage a business development pipeline independently
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating in a growth-oriented environment
  • Access to reliable transportation is required for regional travel to meet borrowers and referral sources and to inspect subject properties as part of the loan development and review process
