We are looking for a Director of Operations to join our Private Wealth Management team to support our continued growth. This is a hybrid role with a base in Tampa, FL.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of Riverwalk’s operational and client service functions. This role ensures that processes are followed consistently, teams are supported and developed, and clients receive a high-quality, responsive experience. The Director of Operations is a tactical leader who translates strategy into action, manages people and processes, and is comfortable working across systems and technology. This role reports directly to the COO and participates in leadership meetings as appropriate.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operational workflows across client service and administrative functions
  • Manage Client Service Associates (CSAs) and operational staff and step in on client work when needed, especially during busy seasons or for high-priority relationships
  • Coach, develop, and hold CSA team members accountable to performance standards and service excellence
  • Serve as escalation point for operational and service issues
  • Help identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Ensure documented, standardized processes are followed consistently
  • Track and report on key service and productivity metrics
  • Keep a pulse on the workload, capacity and turnaround times so we stay proactive, not reactive
  • Lead initiatives in learning and optimizing our tech stack (CRM, workflows, client communication tools, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Series 7 and 66, or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Florida Life and Health Insurance 2-15 license or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, HR, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of financial services or wealth management experience required
  • Prior experience managing teams required
  • Northwestern Mutual / Private Client Group experience preferred
  • Strong people-management and operational leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through capabilities
  • Ability to work with and prioritize multiple tasks daily to maximize productivity with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail, and work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
