Our firm, MSH, is exclusively partnered with a global alloy steel manufacturing company, an industry leader in stainless, electrical, and specialty steels to identify a Director of Operations.


The Director of Operations will translate divisional guidelines into actionable site-level results, overseeing the transformation of four production facilities, to bridge the gap between global strategy and local execution.

● Define and drive the WCM and ARMP roadmaps across all 4 sites, ensuring that global standards are adapted to local operational contexts without losing technical rigor.

● Act as the advisor to US Plant Managers, helping them lead the managerial shift required to sustain a proactive, high-performance culture.

● Drive the practical application of core WCM pillars—including 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, and Quality Management—directly engaging with shop-floor teams to ensure methodologies take root.

● Lead the identification and prioritization of operational losses at each site; facilitate root-cause analysis and the implementation of pragmatic solutions to improve site KPIs.

● Deliver and facilitate training frameworks for local staff, from frontline operators to supervisors, ensuring every employee is equipped with the tools to contribute to the WCM journey.

● Track site-specific maturity development through regular audits and reporting; manage corrective action plans to ensure sites remain on track for WCM certification.

Profile

● University or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.

● Minimum 7–10 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on multi-site Continuous Improvement leadership.

● Ability to build credibility and "get commitment" at all levels, particularly with shop-floor operations and site leadership.

● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage the transformation of different sites simultaneously.

● A "boots-on-the-ground" leader who coaches by example

● Fluent in English; ability to translate complex methodologies into simple, actionable steps for diverse teams.
