Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Nursing located in San Diego, CA at our Kearny Mesa campus. The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing staff operations, uphold healthcare standards, ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations, and oversee all LVN students by following current curriculum to ensure quality of education.


Responsibilities include completing a list of specific objectives for each course, present complete and current syllabus, keep accurate attendance, attend faculty meetings, and other related duties.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
  • Experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting
  • Ability to complete a course with instruction in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.


Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with:

  • At least one (1) year in teaching or clinical supervision at a BVNPT approved education institution, or
  • Three years in nursing administration/nursing education within the last five years.
