🚨 Hiring: Director of Nursing (DON) – OPWDD Programs 🚨
📍 Location: Queens | 💼 Full-Time
We’re looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee nursing services across our OPWDD-certified residential programs. This role is ideal for a strong RN leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, compliant care and driving clinical excellence.
You’ll provide leadership to nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve medical services for individuals in our care.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall clinical leadership and oversight of nursing services
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff (team of ~5 nurses)
- Ensure compliance with OPWDD, CMS, and DOH regulations
- Lead quality assurance, audits, and performance improvements
- Participate in care planning, assessments, and admissions
- Conduct program visits and ensure audit readiness
- Deliver staff training and ongoing clinical education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery
✅ Qualifications
- Active RN License (New York State)
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN required, MSN preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with 2+ years in leadership
- Experience in OPWDD, community residences, or nursing homes
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license (ability to travel between sites)
- CPR & First Aid (preferred)
- Availability for on-call support as needed
