We’re hiring a Director of Housekeeping for a hotel property based in Colorado Springs, CO. You will be responsible for running the daily housekeeping operation at assigned hotel. This person makes sure rooms and public areas are clean, teams are trained and supported, and productivity goals are met. This role works closely with hotel leaders and leads housekeeping teams to deliver great service, strong results, and a positive work environment.
Work Schedule: AM and Mid Shifts, will work weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Manage daily housekeeping operations
- Make sure team members are trained and follow hotel procedures
- Check room, public area, and laundry quality regularly
- Monitor productivity and help improve performance
- Ensure safety rules are followed
- Support hotel leadership and address guest or service issues
- Lead by example with staff and guests
- Communicate staffing needs or issues to operations leadership
- Help onboard and orient new team members
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
- Create daily work assignments based on productivity goals
- Adjust staffing and workloads as needed
- Schedule employees to stay within budget
- Review and submit payroll each week
- Complete daily reports and submit required data on time
- Respond to team requests and operational needs
- Train, coach, and support team members
- Address employee concerns and resolve issues when possible
- Keep team records and inspection paperwork updated
- Help with team appreciation and retention efforts
- Provide regular feedback and guidance
- Hold team members accountable while creating a respectful workplace
What You'll Bring
- Advanced English Skills; basic Spanish skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Schedule flexibility to work AM/Mid Shifts, weekends and holidays is a must
- Full service hotel experience; required
- At least 5 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager in full service or luxury hotels
- Experience working in operations of +250 rooms is a must
- Experience in opening or management transitions is a plus
- Excellent people skills
