Disability Services (DS) at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Director of Disability Services and Testing Center!
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor within the Division of Student Life, the Director of Disability Services and the Student Testing Center provides strategic leadership for the University’s accommodation and access services for students with disabilities. The Director oversees DS and the Student Testing Center (STC), which together support students with disabilities through disability determination, accommodation coordination, and accessible testing services.
The Director serves as the University’s primary subject matter expert on access for students with disabilities within the academic environment, interpreting state and federal disability laws, including evolving regulatory guidance and case law. The role provides consultation to academic and administrative leaders regarding institutional responsibilities and effective accommodation practices.
Working with the Assistant Vice Chancellor, the Dean of Students Office, and leaders across Student Life and Academic Affairs, the Director advances a coordinated campus approach to accessibility that promotes student success, equitable participation, and inclusive learning environments. The Director builds strong partnerships with department chairs, deans, faculty, and campus administrators to support shared responsibility for accessibility and continuous improvement in accommodation implementation.
The Director works towards institutional strategy through policy development, assessment, and engagement with national professional organizations and peer institutions, and serves as an advisor to university leadership on emerging practices in access for students with disabilities.
This position supervises Disability Services and the Student Testing Center and collaborates closely with the ADA Compliance Office and the Digital Accessibility Office to ensure alignment of accommodation processes, accessibility initiatives, and institutional responsibilities.
