POSITION DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a senior-level Director of College Counseling to lead high-level consultations with prospective families and drive enrollment into our programs. Reporting directly to the Founder, this role is responsible for converting qualified families into long-term clients through strategic assessment, expert positioning, and executive-level advising, while serving as the companys ultimate authority on competitive positioning, institutional trends, and application strategy. The Director of College Counseling serves as the first senior authority families encounter setting expectations, building trust, and guiding them toward the appropriate program and counselor. Additionally, this role will provide the strategic sign-off and high-level mentorship required to ensure our Senior Lead Counselors, Lead Counselors, and Specialists deliver a unified, world-class methodology.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESI. Business Development & Strategic OversightBrand Ambassadorship: Act as the premier face of GE College Prep, hosting high-impact webinars that distill our methodology into a compelling case for our companys authority.Strategic Consultations: Own the consultation-to-enrollment pipeline by leading bespoke discovery sessions with prospective families. Operational Auditing: Audit counselors work to ensure consistency, rigor, and positioning excellence, as well as appropriate deadline management.Counselor Oversight: Assist with training counseling staff, review and evaluate performance, provide feedback (both positive and corrective), and provide additional resources as needed.II. Client ManagementElite Portfolio Management: Manage a personal portfolio of ambitious students, making multi-year commitments to guide them through the entire admissions cycle with a focus on high-impact extracurricular recommendations, narrative building, and essay writing.Executive Flexibility: This role requires regular afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend sessions to accommodate student availability across US time zones (particularly Pacific Time).
