Position: Director of Aftermarket Ops - Power Systems

Summary:
The Director of Aftermarket Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the full-service business across a designated region. This role drives financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term growth by aligning regional execution with global service strategies. The position plays a critical leadership role in delivering revenue targets, improving profitability, enhancing customer satisfaction, and building a high-performing service organization.
Job Duties:
Leadership & Strategy
- Direct and oversee all service-related activities across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with global service objectives
- Define and execute regional service strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth and margin expansion
- Lead organizational development initiatives to build a strong, performance-driven service culture
- Champion change management and continuous improvement programs across operations
Operational Management
- Own full accountability for service delivery execution, including operational performance and cash flow outcomes
- Drive efficiency in order management, field services, training, and supply chain operations
- Establish and optimize workflows and systems to improve service quality and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure consistent implementation of integrated business systems (ERP, CRM, and related digital platforms)
Commercial & Financial Performance
- Achieve service revenue, profitability, and contribution margin targets across parts, contracts, and field services
- Support and implement go-to-market strategies to expand service offerings and customer reach
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics, including revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and utilization rates
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Strengthen relationships with customers, distributors, and external partners to enhance service delivery
- Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, technical teams, IT, and business development groups
- Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and retention across the region
Growth & Integration
- Participate in mergers and acquisitions related to service operations, including integration planning and execution
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and service portfolio enhancement
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Develop and promote environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
- Reinforce a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in safety practices
Job Requirements:
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required
- Advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience within service operations or related fields
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-functional operations
- Demonstrated leadership experience with responsibility for regional or global teams
- Background in change management and operational process improvement initiatives
- Experience working in international or multicultural business environments
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of service business models, including parts, service contracts, and field operations
- Familiarity with modern service technologies and digital tools
- Ability to manage complex operational systems and drive process optimization
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on execution approach
