Leidos is seeking a Campaign Director to lead Growth initiatives focused on the MUSV/C-C5IRST Portfolio of work. This role is ideal for a strategic, customer-focused leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, mission impact, and capture execution. You will shape pursuits from early customer engagement through contract award while helping differentiate Leidos in a highly competitive defense market. As the Campaign Director you will be shaping and capturing unmanned and Counter-C5ISRT opportunities within the Navy and DoW.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support overall strategic planning by identifying and developing a pipeline of opportunities that provide an opportunity to grow market share and revenue.
  • Provide leadership, management and oversight for pursuits/capture activities with a goal of meeting / exceeding the business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline growth.
  • Continuously monitor the market to keep track of competitor strength/ competencies and their impact and positioning.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices in close coordination with appropriate business area and division leadership.
  • Participate in business planning activities, to include weekly pipeline reviews, operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity collaboration sessions and gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, and proposal writing and reviews.
  • Collaborate with technology leaders (e.g., CTOs) from across the company to identify existing and future technologies that are relevant to contract research and development (CRAD) focused on customer (e.g., DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E, Service labs, etc.) opportunities and programs.
  • Engage with Customer’s technical representatives to develop an understanding of their problem sets and identify and shape potential solutions and technologies that align with Leidos capabilities.
  • Lead and work with capture teams across Leidos to integrate these capabilities and technologies into solutions being developed for both active pursuits
  • Work with capture teams and other senior leaders, engaging with customers at the pre-solicitation stage.
  • Support an outreach role, supporting outreach and engagement to leaders in autonomy other technologies across academia and industry, cultivating and strengthening teaming relationships.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Business development and capture experience with US Navy Acquisition and Maritime technical organizations and processes, including but not limited to:  experience with Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office (PEO), Naval Surface Warfare Centers, Pentagon resource sponsors, type commanders.
  • Proven track record of successful capture and pipeline management across multiple Defense Community organizations and program offices at a variety of acquisition sizes
  • Experience working directly with Defense Community and Government and DoD personnel
  • Experience with Government/DoD budget, investments and acquisition processes
  • Demonstrated access to key government customers and industry partners
  • Travel as required estimated 20-30% per month
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports and a customer relationship management to track opportunities and manage pipeline
  • Must have or have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • US Navy/Marine Corps Acquisition program experience; Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Principle Assistant Program Manager, Business Director, Acquisition Manager, Technical Director. 
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with senior management, technical staff, division managers, and peers in the Group and across Leidos
  • A technical degree is highly desired. Advanced degree preferred

Pay Range:Pay Range $154,050.00 - $278,475.00
