About the Team
The Health & Benefits Advisory team in India partners with organizations to design sustainable, competitive, and employee‑centric benefits solutions aligned to business and talent priorities. The team brings deep expertise across benefits strategy, wellness, and risk advisory, working closely with broking and global specialists to deliver integrated, insight‑led outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Advisory & Strategic Consulting Leadership Serve as the lead benefits advisor for large and strategically important clients across sectors, including MNCs, GCCs, BFSI, Technology, Manufacturing, and Services. Advise clients on end-to-end benefits strategy, including health insurance and risk benefits design, flexible benefits and total rewards optimization, wellness and wellbeing strategy, cost governance, risk management, and sustainability of benefit programs. Ensure alignment of India benefits programs with global rewards philosophy and governance frameworks. Translate client business strategy, workforce demographics, and talent priorities into differentiated, data-backed benefits solutions. Lead executive-level discussions and present recommendations to CHROs, CFOs, country CEOs, and global rewards leaders. Act as a trusted thought partner by proactively bringing market insights, innovation, and future-ready ideas to clients. 2. Driving Growth in Benefits Consulting Own and drive benefits advisory revenue growth through identification of whitespace opportunities within existing accounts and origination of new consulting engagements. Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and consultative RFP responses for benefits advisory opportunities. Contribute to the development and evolution of WTW’s India benefits consulting offerings, including flexible benefits, personalization, wellness and preventive care strategies, GCC benefits models, cost optimization, and benefits governance frameworks. Support the creation of repeatable intellectual property (IP), frameworks, and tools that scale advisory delivery and differentiate WTW in the market. 3. Enabling Broking & Cross-Sell Opportunities Work closely with Broking, Placement, Wellness, Technology, and account leadership teams to deliver a unified “One WTW” client experience. Use consulting engagements as a lever to strengthen long-term client relationships, support retention, and enable informed broking discussions grounded in strategic insights. Identify opportunities where consulting insights such as plan redesign, coverage gaps, cost levers, and wellness outcomes translate into broking optimization or carrier strategy discussions, while maintaining role clarity and governance. Partner with account leaders to develop multi-year account growth plans mapping advisory opportunities and broking potential. 4. Team Leadership & Capability Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of benefits consultants and analysts across experience levels. Provide hands-on mentorship in consulting problem-solving, client management, commercial acumen, and executive storytelling. Build strong succession pipelines and support career progression within the team. Foster a culture of high-quality delivery, collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing, and accountability. 5. Project Management & Delivery Excellence Oversee multiple complex consulting engagements simultaneously, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high-quality, consistent outputs. Apply WTW consulting standards, tools, and methodologies across engagements. Anticipate delivery risks and proactively manage issues to protect client outcomes and commercial commitments. Ensure all client deliverables are executive-ready, insight-led, and action-oriented. 6. Market Intelligence, Thought Leadership & External Engagement Stay at the forefront of India and regional benefits, wellbeing, and insurance market trends. Track regulatory and statutory developments and translate their implications for clients. Build strong relationships with insurers, wellness vendors, industry forums, and internal global and regional subject matter experts. Contribute to thought leadership through client presentations, whitepapers, POVs, webinars, roundtables, and internal best-practice sharing.
