Your Role:

As the Director, Finance - Healthcare Commercial, you will act as a strategic finance business partner to the US Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the integrity of financial information to support objectives and drive business performance.

You will lead the Investment Controlling Team, overseeing optimal investment and resource allocation, delivering accurate and timely forecasting and scenario planning, and supports critical launch and business development activities. Additionally, you leverage technology to develop and implement streamlined, automated financial processes to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all investment reporting and forecasting, ensuring optimal resource allocation across the portfolio, standardizing data and analytics to support the achievement of financial objectives
  • Drive resource and headcount forecasting, tracking and reallocation for the US Commercial and Medical organization
  • Identify opportunities to prioritize investment, enabling the funding of incremental investment opportunities and the reduction of management plugs
  • Manage the investment controlling team, leading both direct local controlling resources and indirect offshore GES colleagues, enhancing employee engagement and reducing turnover in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Provide direct strategic guidance and business partnering for critical business functions and US Senior Leadership team
  • Ensure accurate and timely investment management, month end closing and forecasting
  • Utilize data/AI and technology to drive end to end process efficiencies and automation
  • Leverage existing and emerging reporting tolls to develop impactful reporting and insights
  • Actively support launch activities, analyzing related impacts including reorganizations and synergy efforts.
  • Support Business Development initiatives and integration efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and facilitating smooth transitions.
  • Lead the OpEx Committee to drive best practice across TA’s and functions, proposing and implementing process improvements to existing reporting, forecasting and investment analytics
  • Deliver key investment & resource presentations with insightful commentary to Finance and Senior Leaders, to enable informed decision making and drive business performance.
  • Own ad hoc projects and initiatives for Finance and US Senior Leadership Team. Often the local lead on internal and global projects.
  • Manage Internal / External investment related audit requests/outcomes

Who You Are:

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA or equivalent direct working experience in Pharmaceuticals
  • Minimum 8 Years professional experience, preferably in an international, multi-currency, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical company; 15 years preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of direct people management; can demonstrate both direct and indirect leadership capabilities during times of ambiguity
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with an interest in identifying the root cause and resolution of complex issues and problems
  • Proven track-record in process improvements and simplifications and establishing strong internal control frameworks
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to multitask, respond successfully under pressure, effectively prioritize, and manage time and workload to meet business needs
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TM1, SAP
  • English Fluency

Location: Boston, MA (Seaport), USA; Onsite (Hybrid)

Travel: <15%; International and Domestic

Pay range for this position: $174,500.00 - $261,700.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
