𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲
A publicly traded global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and advanced electronic materials is racing to scale a breakthrough materials platform that powers the AI, electric-vehicle, datacenter, and semiconductor boom, a genuine first-to-market technology with a capital program of more than $150M behind it. You build and lead the program-management function that delivers the work behind it: chemical scale-ups, technology development, systems engineering, and the capital projects and factory builds that bring a first-to-market material to the world.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲
• You want to build a function from scratch, the processes, tools, and team, not run an established, settled PMO
• You thrive in ambiguity and urgency, with iterative, fast-moving projects and a CEO-level push to be first to market
• You lead across R&D, engineering, and operations without direct authority and make fast decisions with incomplete information
• You want your work to ship a technology the world has not made at this scale before
• If you want a mature PMO with settled processes and predictable scope, this is not your role
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘄𝗻
• Lead and grow a global team of engineering project and program managers supporting multiple business units
• Build the processes, tools, and standards that scope, track, and deliver projects across chemical production scale-ups, technology development, systems and process engineering, and capital projects including factory builds and expansions
• Personally drive the most critical, high-visibility initiatives, including capital projects from several million dollars upward into a large, multi-site capital program
• Improve engineering speed, first-time-right delivery, and scope adherence across the portfolio
• Partner across R&D (research and development), Engineering, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Product Line Management, and Quality on plans, status, and risk
• Coach and develop the PM team and build a culture of continuous improvement that travels across regions and divisions
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴
• 10 to 12+ years in project management, with 8+ years leading PM in at least one of: chemical process scale-up, electromechanical engineered systems, or capital projects budgeted in the millions
• Experience defining new business processes and steering ambiguous, iterative projects to delivery
• A track record leading cross-functional teams without direct line authority, and managing up and across to drive fast, accurate decisions
• Bachelor's in science or engineering required; Master's or MBA a plus; PMP (Project Management Professional) beneficial, not required
• Background in electronics, semiconductor, advanced materials, or specialty chemicals strongly preferred
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
• Base salary $174,732 to $262,098, plus a performance bonus
• Strong 401(k) match plus an additional company contribution, an employee stock purchase plan, medical with an employer health savings account (HSA) contribution, company-paid life and disability, and generous paid time off (PTO)
