The Director of Diagnostic Imaging directs the operation of radiological and imaging services providing inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and/or trauma radiology services by ensuring department quality, efficiency, and responsiveness. Ensures that safety requirements are met for all radiological and imaging services. Maintains effective and responsive relationships with patients, attending medical staff and other departments. Manages department finances including budgeting, control of salary/non-salary, and capital investment expenses.

Minimum Requirements:
Certification - Basic Life Support upon start; American Registered Radiologic Technologists upon start; Certified Radiologic Technologist in Virginia, or ARRT or ARDMS or CNT or CVT or NMTCB or RVT or CAMRT or NMTCB; as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required.; If no Bachelor's degree then Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) certificate within 24 months of hire/transfer.
Licensure - Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start State Licensure required for all INOVA non-Hospital Licensed centers, but not required if working onsite at an Inova Hospital.
Experience - 5 years of management experience in a healthcare related setting; 7 years of experience in radiology services
Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or related Radiological Science field; or Associate's degree or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with additional 2 years experience. If no Bachelors degree, CRA certificate within 24 months of hire/transfer.
