The Role
We’re hiring a Director, Creative Production (NT Impact Lab) - a space designed to deliver content that connects with audiences and expands what NowThis content can be.
This is a role for a strategic thinker and creative powerhouse who can both generate standout ideas and build the systems needed to bring them to life. You’ll contribute to the broader content pipeline while taking a distinct approach: focusing on high-impact concepts, emerging formats, and opportunities that sit within and outside of our current playbook.
You’ll oversee a nimble creative team and develop original short-form and long-form content across TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube, and beyond, experimenting with storytelling approaches that can evolve into the next wave of NowThis franchises.
This role requires a balance of creative vision and operational rigor, ensuring strong ideas are paired with the structure, processes, and collaboration needed to bring them to life.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and elevate the Creative Lab team, guiding producers to create high-quality, platform-native pitches and pilots that stand out in a crowded landscape
- Oversee the full development lifecycle - from ideation through pilot, testing, and iteration - ensuring ideas are both innovative and executable
- Shape the creative direction for new shows, series, and formats across TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and emerging platforms
- Partner with internal teams to explore and execute short-form and long-form content strategies, including pilots, series development, and talent-led formats
- Ensure content reflects NowThis’ editorial voice while evolving alongside audience behaviors, cultural trends, and platform dynamics
- Drive development timelines and production schedules, ensuring consistent delivery against deadlines and performance goals
- Collaborate closely with the VP, Digital Originals and cross-functional teams to align development with broader content strategy and business priorities
- Step into key shoots as needed, overseeing talent, crew, and post-production to ensure creative vision translates effectively on screen
- Mentor and develop producers, building a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture
- Leverage performance data and testing to refine ideas, optimize formats, and inform future development decisions
- Identify and cultivate opportunities for creator, influencer, and talent partnerships that expand reach and unlock new creative directions
- Stay ahead of platform shifts and cultural trends, introducing fresh formats and forward-thinking storytelling approaches
- Support additional initiatives as needed to advance team and company priorities.

Must Haves
- 6+ years of experience in content development, creative strategy, or digital storytelling- ideally with a focus on original formats or IP creation
- Proven ability to develop standout, culturally relevant concepts that break through in a crowded content landscape
- Strong creative instincts and storytelling skills, with experience building ideas from concept through execution
- Deep understanding of digital platforms (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)—and where they’re headed next
- Track record of experimenting with new formats, structures, or creative approaches
- Excellent communication and pitching skills, with the ability to sell bold ideas and bring stakeholders along
- Strong cultural awareness and curiosity—someone who is early to trends, not reactive to them
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize high-impact work, and navigate ambiguity
- Proven experience building and managing high-performing creative teams, including establishing clear structures, workflows, and expectations that drive accountability and results
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or talent-led formats
- Comfort with tools like Adobe Premiere, Airtable, and/or Google Workspace.
- Experience developing content that extends beyond social (IRL, live, longer-form, etc.)
- Familiarity with branded content or co-development with external partners

Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000. An employee's position within this range will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
