Commercial Data & AI Platform Strategy

• Own thecommercial data and AI platform strategy, ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture standards and commercial analytics needs.

• Define and evolve thereference architecturefor commercial data, analytics, and AI (includinglakehousepatterns, MDM, APIs, and integration standards).

• Establish ascalable, cost‑effective platform foundationthat supports analytics, experimentation, and AI atglobalenterprise scale.

• Partner with IT/GBS toalign onshared infrastructure, tooling strategy, and long‑term platform roadmaps.

Future of AI, Industry Foresight & Strategic Enablement

This roleis responsible forensuring the commercial data and AI foundationremainsforward‑looking and adaptable as technology, economic conditions, and regulation evolve.

• Maintain deep awareness ofemerging AI capabilities, macroeconomic forces, regulatory trends, and technology shiftsshaping the future of commercial execution in MedTech and Life Sciences.

• Evaluatenovel AI and GenAI use cases(e.g., agentic workflows, reasoning models, copilots, simulation, real‑timedecisioning)from a platform, governance, and scalability perspectivefor applicability across commercial domains such as sales productivity, forecasting, pricing, customer engagement, and revenue risk management.

• Translate external AI and market trends intoforward‑looking platform, architecture, and governance implications, ensuring the commercial data ecosystem is future‑ready withoutsacrificing trust, security, or compliance.

• Partner withCommercialDecisionScience & AIandCommercial Data Product Strategyto enablerapid experimentationwith emerging AI capabilities whileestablishingguardrails that allow solutions to scale safely into production.

• Adviseexecutive leadership onAIplatformreadiness, enterprise risk posture, and investment tradeoffsas the commercial AI landscape continues to evolve.

Platform Engineering & Enablement

• Ownplatform engineeringroadmapsupportingcloud infrastructure, storage,compute, orchestration,DataOps, and Master Data Management (MDM)for commercial domains.

• Ensure standardized ingestion, integration, and orchestration patterns across commercial source systems (e.g., CRM, CPQ, ERP, GTM, marketing, service).

• Enable platform capabilities that support analytics engineering,decisionscience, and GenAI use cases (e.g., feature access, historical backfills, observability).

• Design platform capabilities with a forward‑AI lens, ensuring flexibility to support emerging model types, agentic workflows, and evolving data access and compute patterns.

• Drive platforms that prioritizereliability, scalability, performance, and ease of consumption.

Governance, Trust & Compliance

• Own thecommercial data governance framework, including operating model, standards, policies, and enforcement mechanisms.

• Implementmetadata management, lineage, cataloging, and data discoverycapabilities to ensure transparency, auditability, and reuse.

• Define and operationalizedata quality frameworks, including automated validation, monitoring, and remediation.

• Establish and enforceaccess control, privacy, and compliance controls, ensuring adherence to GDPR, SOX, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

• Partner withIT, GBS, Legal,andPrivacyteams to ensure commercial data and AI usage meets enterprise risk and compliance standards.

Data Architecture & Standards

• Definedata modeling frameworks, integration patterns, and API standardsfor commercial data domains.

• Ensure architectural consistency acrossplatforms, analytics layers, and AI workloads.

• Govern enterprise standards fordata retention, lifecycle management, and auditability.

Responsible AI & Enterprise Controls

• Own and implementresponsible AI guardrailsfor commercial use cases, including bias testing, drift monitoring, explainability, and human‑in‑the‑loopdecisioning.

• Partner withCommercialDecisionScience & AIto operationalizemodel governance, LLM usage standards, and AI risk controls.

• Ensure AI governance integrates seamlessly with broaderdata governance, security, andcompliancecouncils.

Governance Operating Model & Cross‑Enterprise Leadership

• Design and run aglobal governance operating modelthat balances enterprise standardization with regional execution.

• Establishdecisionrights, escalation paths, and stewardship forumsacross Business Units and Regions.

• Act as the primary point of accountability fordata trust, security, quality, and scalabilitywithin the Commercial Intelligence ecosystem.

• Provide executive visibility intoplatform health, data risk,governancematurity, and future readiness.

• 10+ yearsof progressive experience in data architecture, platform engineering, data governance, or enterprise data strategy withinMedTech, Life Sciences, or similarly regulated industries(preferred).

• 5+ yearsof leadership experience managing global or enterprise‑scale data and platform teams.

• Proven experience designing and operatingenterprise data platformsthat support analytics and AI at scale.

• Deep understanding ofdata governance, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management.

• Strong familiarity with modern cloud data architectures,master data management (MDM), metadata management, and data quality tooling.

• Demonstrated ability toassess emerging AI technologies and macro trends and translate them into concreteplatform, architecture, and governancedecisions.

• Proven ability to balance governance rigor withspeed, usability, and businessoutcomes.

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related fieldrequired. Advanced degree preferred.

• Experience implementinggovernance‑by‑designapproaches (automated controls vs. manual reviews).

• Familiarity with commercial data domains and how governance impacts analytics, AI, anddecisioning.

• Experience partnering with analytics engineering and data science teams in production environments.

• Global enterprise experience spanning multiple Business Units, Regions, and regulatory environments.

• Strong executive presence and communication skills.

• Future‑orientedthinker:anticipates how advances in AI, economic conditions, and industry dynamics will reshape commercialdecision‑making and platform requirements.
