The Director of Cardiac Services is responsible for all aspects of Cardiac Services (Cath Lab, EKG, Echo, Cardiac Electrophysiology) including policies, procedures, studies and treatments with a cooperative working relationship with physicians, cardiac staff, Administration, and other key stakeholders of the cardiac program at the facility. Maintains a well-integrated system for results reporting and appropriate billing of associated procedures, overall responsibility of staff performance level in accordance with quality standards in state, local and federal requirements. Leads and promotes Service Excellence standards, with emphasis on excellent patient and staff experiences. Maintains proper safety programs, provides mentoring and works in an advisory role to all Cardiac Services throughout the facility.

Qualifications


EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

-Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.

-Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.

-Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience in Cardiac Services required.

-Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in a Cardiology Department/Cath Lab required, acute care experience preferred.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

-Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, or California Radiology Technologist (CRT) along with Fluoro license required.

-Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification through the American Heart Association.

-Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
