About the Opportunity
We are building a new HELOC and consumer lending platform focused on financing large home improvement projects (kitchens, additions, pools, major renovations).
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will build and lead a team of Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs) while helping shape the strategy, structure, and compliance framework of a fast-growing lending channel.
This is not a traditional MLO role — you will operate in a model similar to fintech POS lenders (e.g., GreenSky), where loan opportunities are sourced and pre-qualified by a national sales team, allowing your team to focus on closing, compliance, and execution rather than self-generating leads.
What You’ll Do
- Build, hire, and lead a team of Mortgage Loan Officers focused on HELOC, cash-out refinance, and consumer lending products
- Establish processes, workflows, and best practices for a new lending channel
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and lending standards
- Partner closely with an internal sales organization that provides pre-qualified, in-home customer leads
- Drive performance across key metrics including conversion, funding volume, and customer experience
- Coach and mentor MLOs to maximize performance in a non-traditional, high-volume lead environment
- Help define and evolve the company’s home improvement financing strategy

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in mortgage lending, including HELOCs, refinance, and/or cash-out products
- Active NMLS license (multi-state preferred: CO, FL, AZ, KS, AL, KY)
- Leadership experience — team lead, manager, or building teams from scratch
- Strong understanding of lending compliance, regulations, and operational workflows
- Experience in high-volume production environments
- Bonus: Background in fintech, POS lending, or home improvement financing (GreenSky, Synchrony, Service Finance, etc.)
