Job Summary Position Overview:
All Saints Catholic School is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven individual to serve in a dual-role position as Communications Assistant and Aftercare Director. This unique role combines school communications and marketing with leadership of our aftercare program. This individual will enjoy creating compelling content, strengthening school visibility, and building meaningful connections with current and prospective families, while also leading a safe, engaging, and nurturing aftercare program.
Schedule Breakdown:
- Communications Assistant: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Aftercare Director: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Job Responsibilities Communications Assistant Responsibilities (10:00 AM – 2:30 PM) - Provide front office support, including greeting visitors and assisting parents, students, and staff
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails
- Support school communications, including newsletters and announcements
- Assist administration with day-to-day operational needs
- Create and manage engaging content for the school’s social media platforms, website, and digital communications
- Write and design newsletters, announcements, press releases, and promotional materials
- Capture and share the daily life of the school through photography, video, and storytelling
- Maintain and update the school website and online calendars
- Support marketing and enrollment efforts through strategic communications
- Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and parish staff to promote school events, programs, and accomplishments
- Ensure all communications reflect the mission, values, and brand of All Saints Catholic School
Aftercare Director Responsibilities (2:30 PM – 6:00 PM) - Oversee and manage the daily aftercare program for students
- Ensure a safe, structured, and welcoming environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework time, games, and outdoor play
- Supervise students and maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios
- Communicate with parents regarding student needs and pick-up procedures
- Maintain attendance and ensure proper dismissal procedures
- Lead and support aftercare staff as needed
Job Requirements Qualifications - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in social media platforms, website management, and design tools such as Canva
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
