Director, Actuary

This is an opportunity to become a key stakeholder and have a say in the strategic direction of the company. Reinsurance client is seeking a highly skilled Actuary who will provide support to both the CEO & Chief Actuary. This individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks including model-building, pricing & underwriting new transactions, supporting financial reporting, and managing the monthly reinsurance settlement process. Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• FSA or Career ASA
• 8-15 years of actuarial experience
• Experience in Annuity, Stat, and GAAP
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Reinsurance work experience
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of SQL, VBA
• Desire to work on a small team to build and grow a new business
• Knowledge of programming languages - Python, R is a plus

Compensation:

• Salary range of $175-205K
