About the Role
As Digital Marketing Director, you’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership to advance how our clients connect, convert, and measure success across every digital touchpoint. This critical role will help lead digital transformation and strategy for a variety of channels, processes, and technologies.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and lead multi-channel digital marketing strategies for clients and the agency.
- Translate client business objectives into measurable digital programs that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Assess growth opportunities for both client and agency offerings to continuously elevate impact and innovation.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging technologies (AI, automation, first-party data) to keep the agency at the forefront of performance marketing.
- Plan and manage budgets across all digital channels and platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and ROI goals.
Channel & Performance Oversight
- Oversee paid media (search, display, programmatic, social), SEO, email, and analytics programs.
- Ensure integration across platforms for consistent performance tracking and ROI analysis.
- Lead optimization efforts across UX, CRO, and web auditing to improve conversion pathways.
- Optimize processes and technologies across email, analytics, ecommerce, reporting, SEO/content marketing, research, and media buying to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and grow an in-house team of digital marketing specialists.
- Collaborate with internal teams on innovative growth strategies that strengthen client programs and agency capabilities.
- Communicate digital marketing best practices across teams to elevate overall marketing performance and digital fluency.
- Partner with account, creative, and content teams to develop cohesive digital initiatives.
- Present digital insights and recommendations to clients with clarity and authority.
Measurement & Reporting
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks that clearly link marketing activity to business outcomes.
- Guide adoption of advanced analytics tools and data visualization dashboards.
- Maintain data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, CASL).
Culture & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on emerging tools, AI-powered marketing solutions, and evolving privacy standards.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, testing, and cross-team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Strategy or related field
- 7+ years’ experience in digital marketing
- Agency experience required
Required Skills
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams across paid media, analytics, and SEO
- Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated digital strategies across search, social, programmatic, SEO, email, and analytics
- Deep understanding of AI-powered marketing tools and automation (e.g., Performance Max, Gemini, dynamic creative optimization, predictive analytics, or similar).
- Experience developing and interpreting analytics reports, and producing actionable insights
- Proven results in effective campaign management and implementation leading to achieving set target objectives
- Expertise in CRM integration, lead scoring, and marketing-to-sales funnel optimization to improve lead quality and conversion
- In-depth experience using various digital marketing platforms and tools (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, HubSpot, Hotjar, SEMRush, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, CMS integration)
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and ensuring data compliance (GDPR, CASL, CCPA, etc.)
- Understand and apply user interface/experience best practices
- Experience and demonstrated ability blending analytical and creative thinking
- Highly detail-oriented and proactive
- Working knowledge of CMS and website structure fundamentals preferred
- Strong working knowledge of SEO principles, UX/CRO best practices, and data-driven content optimization
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate analytics into clear strategic recommendations.
- Work independently as well as in a collaborative, in-office, team-oriented environment
