Description:
- OEM Vehicle Validation & Issue Troubleshooting Specialist
Primary Functions:
- Vehicle Support: Development powertrain system support and troubleshooting including hardware, software, controls and electronic systems level troubleshooting
- Issue troubleshooting and resolution: Following troubleshooting trees independently where troubleshooting trees are available or using engineering judgement to diagnose issues, working with technicians to carry out investigation & resolution, tracking issues with clear documentation of outcomes and communicating plans and outcomes with engineers, techs and customers.
- Validation support: Utilize Calterm and other engineering tools to download ECM software and calibrations (in collaboration with support from client Columbus team), participate and support Vehicle Validation activities - collecting data, overriding engine conditions, addressing and documenting issues with regards to validation.
- Communication and documentation: utilize both existing documentation paths for issue tracking and create new communications or documentation methods based on scope of work.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience troubleshooting on vehicles.
- Those with backgrounds as a heavy duty technician or service writer/advisor would do well
- Proven success with technical problem solving
- Experience working with engines
- Past experience working for a corporation
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks while maintaining effective communication and documentation
