Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Dialysis Tech, you will provide critical support and direct patient care during hemodialysis treatments, ensuring the safety and comfort of individuals undergoing life-sustaining therapy.Every day you will expertly prepare and operate dialysis equipment, monitor vital signs and patient responses, administer medications as directed, and meticulously document treatment parameters and patient observations.To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate, vigilant demeanor, contributing significantly to positive treatment outcomes and the well-being of patients with renal disease.- Is a role model for the Hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues.
- Perform machine and/or equipment disinfection as required in the policies and procedures, perform routine and nonroutine cultures as directed.
- Provide quality assurance data and audits as directed.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies
- Assist with clean up of spills in the department when environmental services is not available.
- Ongoing communication to ensure that routine preventative maintenance is performed adequately on all equipment including the status of spare parts necessary for equipment maintenance and the timely requisition for purchase of spare parts.
- Transport dialysis patients to and from dialysis room as needed.
Job RequirementsRequired
- Minimum of six (6) months experiencewith dialysis equipment and machinemaintenance
- Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT-BONENT)
