Position Description:
Avarint is seeking an applied physicist, mathematician, or engineer (preferably electrical, mechanical, or aerospace) in the domains of radars, missiles, command and control (C2), and hypersonics.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Identify, test, and evaluate various models and algorithms
· Implement statistical, machine learning, or other mathematical methodologies to solve satisfy customers’ specific needs
· Research, develop, and implement models and algorithms to be released as new product features
· Work alongside a team of engineers to develop and deploy production-level code

Salary Range:
$80,000 – $109,999 per year

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in: Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace subfields preferred); other quantitative disciplines considered with commensurate academic/industry experience
· Domain knowledge in Radio Frequency (RF), Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) system modeling experience a plus
· Experience in Mathematical Modeling/Data Analysis: Computational Physics, Electrical/Aerospace Engineering, AI/ML
· Proficient research skills: publications and/or working papers; capable of researching topics beyond current background or experience
· Unix/Linux familiarity and experience
· Strong understanding of statistical methods
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization
· Strong understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems
· Proven ability to reason logically and provide rational solutions with a focus on improving efficiency and quality
· Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders
· Experience with cross-functional teams
· Meets eligibility requirements for a government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or other STEM-related discipline
· Domain expertise in radars, missiles, C2, and/or hypersonics
· Active government security clearance
