TITLE: DevSecOps Engineer
CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a highly skilled, well-rounded DevSecOps Engineer with an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance to support mission-critical systems in a secure cloud environment. This role focuses on deploying and integrating digital engineering tools in a Top Secret cloud environment using Layer 7 API gateway solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Configure and deploy systems as infrastructure-as-code (IAC) in classified, cloud-based environments using Agile and DevSecOps methods.
- Deploy, configure, and manage a Layer 7 (Broadcom) API gateway solution to support enterprise and mission applications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across both the API gateway and underlying cloud infrastructure.
- Create and update technical documentation (e.g., user guides, 'how to' guides, infrastructure diagrams)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate secure DevSecOps practices into the development lifecycle.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.
- Support environment hardening and compliance with government security standards.
- Maintain documentation for system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance.
- Must possess an active CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 compliant) certification.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Layer 7 (Broadcom) API Gateway.
- Experience implementing systems in classified AWS cloud environments (including C2E or similar government cloud platforms).
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems across both application and infrastructure layers.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and secure deployment practices.
- Familiarity with system integration and API management in enterprise environments.
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with technical and non-technical, management and customer personnel.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in AWS GovCloud or other classified cloud environments.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as RMF, NIST, or STIG compliance.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, or AWS-native tools).
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
- Familiarity configuring and instrumenting tools providing end to end visibility, monitoring, and analytics such as AppDynamics or DynaTrace.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow.
