Our client is seeking a DevOps QA Analyst in the downtown Pittsburgh, PA area to work hybrid two days a week on-site.
Position Summary:
- Candidate must possess knowledge of Quality Assurance/DevOps Best Practices and QA Standard
- Evaluate acceptance criteria and business requirements, design test scenarios, and execute test cases for new or enhanced applications.
- Perform primarily manual testing based on requirements/acceptance criteria, while identifying opportunities for automation and contributing to automation efforts where applicable
- This candidate will be responsible for reviewing new or modified applications including documentation, workflows, API’s to validate alignment with user stories and business requirements and conform to guidelines.
- Log, track, and clearly document defects, including steps to reproduce, and collaborate with developers for resolution
- Ensure high-quality user experience by validating usability, functionality, and regression impacts
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test cases/scripts manually in an agile or waterfall project environment
- Create and manage test data in Azure DevOps
- Identify candidates for test automation and contribute to automation scripts or frameworks (preferred).
- Create and manage test cases, test data, and defect tracking in Azure DevOps
- Perform functional, regression, and basic API testing.
- Triage defects, support resolution, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to ensure quality delivery
- Support regression suite development, including automation where feasible.
- Assist in performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for web and enterprise applications using JMeter or similar tools
- Collaborate with developers and architects to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance
- Stay current with emerging tools, trends, and best practices in performance testing
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
- 2+ years of relevant experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Test case management tools like Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Working in an Agile Environment
- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Hammer, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) preferred.
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into build/release workflows.
- Experience in Oracle Utility Suite, SQL, Web & Mobile Development
- Basic Scripting experience (C# and/or Python) preferred.
