The Development Services Manager earns a competitive salary 71,682.31 - 91,394.94 based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this job. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.

Essential Functions:

Oversee the general administration of the development process for the City of Pearland.

Leads the daily operations of the Development Services division. Provides customer services to both internal and external stakeholders.

Tracks and coordinates commercial projects that involve multiple departments, jurisdictions, and points of contact.

Manages the development and administration of the division's budget to include estimating staffing, equipment, and supply needs.

Reviews, recommends, and facilitates process improvements.

Ensures accurate payments and daily reconciliations.

Oversee and facilitates the Development Review Committee and pre-development meetings.

Serves as internal project manager for complex, commercial development projects. Lead and assist with special projects.

Serves as an ombudsman to the development and business community.

Prepare agenda items, make public presentations, coordinate with community groups.

Additional Duties:

Assist with customer service issues, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with other departments.

Interviews, selects, supervises, develops, and counsels personnel according to established City policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Performs related work as assigned.
