Developer III - Mainframe EDIG

Are you an experienced Developer III - Mainframe EDIG with a desire to excel? If so, then Talent Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Developer III - Mainframe EDIG to work at their company in Columbia, SC.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Work within the EDIG (Electronic Data Interchange Gateway) team
• Develop and maintain applications on the host/mainframe environment

Utilise technologies including:

• COBOL
• CICS
• DB2
• IMS
• MQ
• IBM Batch JCL
• Collaborate closely with the team lead on task direction and assignments
• Interact with Non-Host and Operations teams to support EDIG processes
• Support systems that manage healthcare claims data
• Participate in on-call support rotation
• Assist with file processing, data integration, and system support

Qualifications:

• COBOL (Mainframe / Micro Focus)

Preferred:

Experience with HIPAA X12 5010 transactions, such as:

• 837 – Claims transaction
• 835 – Settlement transaction
• 834 – Membership coverage
• 270/271 – Membership validation
• 276/277 – Claims inquiry

File transfer and connectivity tools:

• Host NDM
• FTP
• VPN file transfers
• File transfers with UNIX servers
• Healthcare claims systems knowledge

Knowledge of data and file formats for:

• Commercial systems
• EDIG systems
• TRICARE systems
• PIMS provider system knowledge
• IBM Connect Direct

Documentation and planning:

• Technical requirements
• Business requirements
• Test plans
• Implementation plans
