Role Description

This is a full-time day shift role for a Registered Nurse at The Retreat of Boston, located in Ludlow, MA. The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients undergoing detox and residential treatments for substance use disorders. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient progress, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans, and educating patients and families. Additional duties include ensuring compliance with protocols, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and providing patient eduction on medication assisred treatment.


Qualifications

  • Strong patient care skills, including the ability to monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess patient conditions
  • Experience in providing care for individuals undergoing detoxification and substance use treatment
  • Proficiency in patient education and communication, with the ability to explain care plans and recovery processes clearly
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols and compliance standards in addiction treatment
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide care in a calm and supportive manner
  • Experience with Kipu electronic health records (EHR) and documentation is a plus
  • Detoxification, Substance Abuse, or Mental Health/Psychiatric nursing experience prefered
