Are you an Engineering or Design Manager, or senior-level designer from a steel fabrication background, looking for a role where you can lead a team while staying close to fabrication, design, and project delivery?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing fabrication-focused business delivering across structural steel and modular construction. With increasing demand and a strong pipeline, they are looking to bring in a key leader to take ownership of the design and engineering function.

This is a hybrid role, ideal for someone who understands fabrication inside out and can lead people, projects, and output.

The Role:

• Lead and manage the design/engineering function across fabrication projects
• Oversee detailing output, ensuring drawings are accurate and production-ready
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of designers/detailers
• Work closely with fabrication, manufacturing, and operations teams
• Implement processes and standards to improve efficiency and quality

The Person:

• Strong background in steel fabrication (essential)
• Experience leading or managing design or detailing teams
• Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and shop processes
• Proficient in Revit or similar design/detailing software
• Hands-on, practical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
