What You will Do:
We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of engineering design techniques. This role will involve creating 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings and collaborating with customer cross-functional teams.
- Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
- Produce detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.
- Perform basic stress and thermal analysis on designs or coordinate with Stress team.
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of prototypes or coordinate with Testing team
- Ensure designs are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay current with new technologies and design methods.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or ProE. NX preferred.
- Understanding use of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tools, TeamCenter prefered.
- Proficient knowledge of GD&T tolerancing and implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Aerospace industry knowledge preferred
Pay Range:$75,000 to $85,000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements: This position is classified as onsite at Indianapolis, IN.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 0% of travel is required.
