About the Position
As a key leader within the New York Executive Chamber, the Deputy Director of Security & Intelligence serves under the Director of Security & Intelligence to lead strategy, coordination, and policy development for security, intelligence, and the state's defense industrial base and national security technology ecosystems.
Reporting directly to the Director of Security & Intelligence, this role is critical in ensuring that threats to New York’s residents, visitors, and businesses are met with a coordinated, whole-of-state response. The Deputy Director also coordinates the development and execution of policies across agencies designed to catalyze investment in New York’s defense and security sectors, including the defense industrial base, drone and counter-drone technologies, and other emerging national security manufacturing initiatives.
The Deputy Director works in close coordination with leadership across the Executive Chamber, senior agency staff throughout New York State government, the private sector, nonprofits, and academia to ensure a unified approach to complex security challenges.
This position is 100% onsite at our office in either Albany, NY or New York City, NY.
Travel between NYC and Albany, throughout NYS, and to Washington D.C. and other locations will be required.

Minimum Qualifications
Employment with the New York State Executive Chamber is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to hold and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $185,000-$200,000
