Depack Technician

• Location: East Chicago, IN

• Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Mon-Fri, Training: 1 month period

• Pay: $20–$21/hour

• Paid Weekly

As a Depack Technician, you will be assisting the Depack Chemist in sampling, packaging and labelling hazardous wastes for transportation and disposal.

Key Job Responsibilities

• De-pack and pour-off lab pack materials, including bulking up quantities as needed
• Obtain and prepare samples from drums and in‑house generated materials
• Load and offload trucks in support of material movement
• Complete all required regulatory and internal paperwork to ensure environmental compliance
• Maintain EHS compliance, respond to spills or emergencies, and perform other assigned duties

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Hazardous waste experience a plus

• Experience operating a forklift
