I'm Chris Shannon. I run the business operations at Practice 32, a Colorado Springs dental hygiene-only practice owned and led by Olivia, who's a working hygienist herself.
We're hiring a full-time hygienist, and I'm writing this myself instead of using a template, because the kind of hygienist who fits here can usually tell the difference within the first paragraph.
What we are.
We're a hygiene-only practice. Yes, that's a thing in Colorado. No dentist on staff. Olivia owns the clinic and is in the operatory every day, working alongside the team she hired. I handle the business side: hiring, systems, growth. You'd interview with Olivia, work with Olivia, and never have to translate clinical decisions through a non-clinician.
Why hygiene-only.
Because hygienists do better work when the practice is built for them, not around a dentist's column. No exam handoffs. No restorative chaos in the next column. The whole practice exists to do hygiene well, by hygienists.
Single-column hygiene, which means you own your day.
No assistant handoffs. No waiting on a column switch. You set the pace, build real relationships with your patients, and go home when the work is done. It's a deliberate model, and the hygienists who try it usually don't want to go back.
Compensation, in plain numbers.
Each month, you're paid the higher of two numbers:
$53/hr is your guaranteed floor. In practice, every hygienist on our team has always landed above the floor. The only time anyone sat at the floor was a single first-month ramp-up. After that, production has carried every hygienist higher, every month, no exceptions.
That's a floor with real upside. Not a base-or-production gamble.
Schedule that doesn't burn you out.
A team you'll actually like.
Small office, tight crew. Front desk, fellow hygienists, and Olivia in the operatory. We do things outside work together (recently: escape room, and we're going back). If you've worked somewhere the staff don't actually talk to each other, you'll feel the difference your first shift.
