Patient Assessment & Pre-operative Evaluation Evaluate each patient’s medical and dental history, identify allergies, anesthesia risks, and determine the appropriate anesthesia approach—whether local, sedation (conscious or deep), or general—for dental procedures.
Anesthesia Administration & Monitoring Administer anesthesia—local, regional, sedation, or general—as needed. Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiration) using advanced equipment, ensuring patient safety throughout.
Airway Management & Safety Interventions Manage the airway proactively, including use of intubation during surgery when needed. Use specialized monitoring tools and adhere to safety protocols to mitigate risks.
Collaboration with Dental Team Work closely with dentists and surgical staff during procedures, ensuring coordinated care and seamless communication throughout the patient’s anesthetic experience.
Post-Anesthesia Care & Recovery Oversee the patient’s emergence from anesthesia, manage common post-operative needs (e.g., nausea, drowsiness), and ensure a safe recovery and discharge.
Emergency Preparedness Be equipped to recognize and manage anesthesia-related complications, including resuscitation if necessary.
