Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Demand Planner to own demand forecasting, inventory planning, and cross-functional alignment across our eCommerce and retail channels.

This role is critical in balancing in-stock availability, inventory health, and fulfillment cost efficiency—especially within a cold chain environment with long import lead times.

You will work closely with Marketing, Merchandising (MD), SCM, and Operations to ensure demand signals are accurately translated into executable supply plans.

This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with imperfect data and can make data-driven decisions with incomplete information.

  • Seasonality and promotional uplift
  • Adjust forecasts for:
  • Out-of-stock (OOS) periods
  • New product launches and re-stocks
  • Continuously refine forecast accuracy and identify bias

2. Inventory & Replenishment Planning

  • Translate demand forecasts into:
  • Purchase order (PO) recommendations
  • Replenishment and transfer plans (West East)
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels across:

  • Balance:
  • Service level (in-stock %)

3. Promotion & Demand Alignment

  • Partner with Marketing to evaluate upcoming promotions and campaigns
  • Model expected demand uplift and inventory impact
  • Ensure inventory is pre-positioned (especially East Coast) prior to launch
  • Identify and escalate risks such as:
  • Cross-country fulfillment cost increases
  • Stockouts during high-demand events

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
  • SCM / Logistics → lead times, inbound schedules, constraints
  • MD / Buying Team → assortment planning, new SKUs
  • Marketing → promotion calendar and demand drivers
  • Operations → fulfillment capacity and execution
  • Act as the central point of truth for demand signals

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on:
  • Forecast accuracy
  • In-stock rates and fill rates
  • Inventory health (excess, aging, shortfall)
  • Identify root causes of variances and drive corrective actions
  • Solving & analyzing logistics data

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Improve demand planning processes and tools (e.g., automation, forecasting models)
  • Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets and enhance system-driven planning
  • Support development of scalable planning systems (e.g., Tari, BI tools)

Qualifications

Required

  • Bilingual: English & Korean
  • 3–7+ years in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Inventory Planning
  • Experience in Food & Beverage industries
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in:
  • Excel / Google Sheets (advanced)

Preferred

  • Experience with perishable goods or cold chain supply chains
