Job Title: Tier 2 (L2) Deep-Dive Investigator (Complex TM & EDD Escalations)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Location: Boise, ID (Onsite)

Role Overview:

The L2 Deep-Dive Investigator is a critical escalation point responsible for holistic reviews of complex alerts triggered by high-risk typologies. Unlike playbook-driven L1 triage, this role requires deep analytical thinking to evaluate "expected vs. actual" user and seller behavior on a social commerce platform. You will build comprehensive investigative narratives to support clear, data-backed recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

* **Holistic Investigations:** Conduct end-to-end reviews of complex KYC/KYB, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Transaction Monitoring alerts escalated from L1.

* **Behavioral Analysis:** Analyze expected versus actual transactional behavior, assessing the legitimacy of account activity, funding sources, and network linkages (e.g., identifying micro-laundering or money mule typologies).

* **Open Source Intelligence (OSINT):** Utilize adverse media screening, OSINT, and advanced investigative tools to uncover hidden risks associated with entities or users.

* **Narrative Drafting:** Write clear, comprehensive, and logically structured investigative reports detailing the findings and providing a definitive recommendation (Clear or Escalate to L3).

* **Mentorship & Feedback:** Provide feedback loops to L1 analysts to help calibrate initial screening rules and reduce future false-positive escalations.

Experience & Qualifications:

* 3–5 years of dedicated experience in complex AML investigations, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), or L2 Transaction Monitoring.

* Strong understanding of FinCrime typologies related to digital payments, e-commerce, and virtual value transfer.

* Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to draft audit-ready investigative narratives.

* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to "connect the dots" across multiple data points and accounts.

* CAMS, CFE, or similar industry certifications are a strong plus.
