Dedicated Flooring Sales Representative - Protective & Marine

The Protective & Marine Division is seeking a candidate with proven success in sales of high performance industrial flooring systems. This candidate will be responsible for building brand awareness with engineers and owners, and negotiating sales and closing the deal with high performance flooring contractors by positioning our industry leading technologies as solutions to the problems and challenges encountered for their asset protection needs. The candidate shall have knowledge of industry standards and product systems, a curiosity for learning and a proven track record of prospecting for new opportunities. This role will engage with customers in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, aviation, general industrial, water and waste water, military, healthcare and education industries.

 

Additional Information:

 

This position is a field position and will be expected to travel at least 30% of the time, Mississippi and Western Tennessee (including the Memphis area).

  • Prospecting new business and making sales calls to existing accounts.

  • Develop a strategy to grow business with customers by identifying product solutions and service capabilities to meet customer needs.

  • Develop weekly selling plan and conduct sales calls accordingly.

  • Determine where customer is in the overall selling process and what steps are necessary to advance the process towards closing the sale.

  • Conduct product demos to support the selling process.

  • Coordinate Technical Service needed to support customers' application requirements.

  • Identify sources of sales leads and follow through on leads provided by store/facility personnel as appropriate

  • Manage customer complaints within lines of authority and manage process to resolution

  • Ability to maintain a discipline in pre-call planning daily and monthly activity to ensure time is maximized and the territory business plan is being executed.

  • Knowledge and proficient user of sales excellence methods in sales calls and time management.

  • Ability to evaluate growth and improvement opportunities and establish a viable territory business plan.

  • Experience and proven success in conducting outside sales calls on industrial flooring accounts to build new business and increase existing business.

  • Excellent wholesale customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints within lines of authority and manage process to resolution.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including professional presence and exhibiting confidence with customers.
