Datacenter Technician

Role: Data Center Cable Technician

Hire Type: 12 month contract to hire

Pay Range: $20/hr (Overtime is 1.5x)

Work Location: Moncks Corner, SC

Hours: min. 50 hours per week (7am start time / 5 days, 10 hours per day)

Skills/Experience

• 0-2+ years of experience (open to entry level - will be on the job training)
• Willing to obtain OSHA 10 Construction certification prior to starting

Overview:

• Schedule & Conditions: 7:00 AM EST start time, 5 days (10 hours per day with some overtime as needed), closed/not working on holidays
• Cable Installation: Pull and route cables throughout the facility, ensuring proper placement and secure connections.
• Rack and Stack: Assemble and install network racks, servers, and related hardware according to layout specifications.
• Splicing Work: Perform basic splicing tasks on copper and fiber cables, including cutting, stripping, and joining connections.
• Technical Labor Support: Assist with general construction-related technical tasks, such as equipment setup, material handling, and site preparation.
• Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines, including PPE requirements and metal detector checks.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other technicians to meet daily production goals and maintain project timelines.
