This position will act as a Data Analyst on a scrum team for the CAP (Consumer Analytic Platform) application on the Enterprise data lake. 
In support of technical solution delivery, duties expected include:

  • Active participation in scrum team (e.g. daily stand ups, topic meetings, retrospective and sprint planning)
  • Reviewing and analyzing of user stories for clarification prior to development
  • Profiling of test data using Acquire IT and manual SQL queries
  • Completion of mapping document (including the mapping used by development and data validation)
  • Writing SQL for mapping rules and performing analysis to ensure query covers all scenarios
  • Creating/updating profile query for target table
  • Creating or assisting in the development and maintenance of the Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models
  • Contributing to and/or following data architecture and data management policies and standards
  • Performing Technical Metadata validation
  • Creating or contributing to all EPM required artifacts (e.g. BRD, FSD)
  • Researching issues that may arise during analysis or business testing

May also participate on BAU (Business As Usual) support for production enhancements, problem tickets and other issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of database (DB) technologies experience
  • 3+ years of Logical + Physical Data Modeling experience
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle for large-scale distributed technology projects and migrations
  • 2+ years of experience working with large data sets, transactional platforms, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools
  • Strong technical and task/timeline-oriented skills necessary to ensure projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Knowledgeable in the programming or scripting language
  • Experience implementing new technologies


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Spark, SQL, and HQL
  • Experience with Big Data platforms – Hadoop, MapR, Hive, Parquet
  • Experience with Power Designer or comparable modeling tool
  • 1+ years of experience in a lead capacity, guiding other team members and contractors
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Key Skills: decision-making; conceptual and analytical skills; business domain knowledge in financial services; comfortable working in a large organization across multiple teams.
