About WH Property Group
WH Property Group is a vertically integrated real estate investment platform focused on acquiring and operating middle-market multifamily assets across high-growth Southeast markets.
The company combines institutional-level investment discipline with an operator-first model, controlling property management, asset management, and development in-house. This allows WH to directly impact property-level performance rather than relying on third-party operators.
The core thesis is simple:
Rent growth has normalized and operational execution—not market appreciation—is the primary driver of NOI.
WH is building a technology-enabled operating platform to:
- Reduce operating expenses per unit
- Increase revenue through better execution, data visibility, and marketing efforts
- Replace outdated, manual property management workflows with technology enabled processes
- Create a scalable system that outperforms traditional operators
This is an early-stage, high-growth environment. The company is actively developing internal AI tools, automation systems, and data infrastructure to redefine how multifamily properties are operated.
This role sits at the center of that effort.
Role Overview
WH Property Group is seeking two high-caliber Data Science / AI Interns to design, build, and deploy practical AI solutions across the business. This role is execution-focused: interns will directly replace manual workflows, automate reporting, and develop internal AI-driven tools that improve operational efficiency.
This is not a research role. It is a build-and-deploy role with real business impact.
Interns will work closely with leadership and experienced third-party technology consultants, who will provide guidance on system architecture, tooling decisions, and best practices throughout development.
Core Responsibilities
1. AI Tool & Workflow Development
- Build AI-driven tools using platforms such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and other LLM ecosystems
- Design and deploy internal tools that eliminate manual processes across operations, reporting, and asset management
- Develop AI agents for task automation (e.g., data extraction, decision support, workflow triggers)
2. Automation & Operational Efficiency
- Identify high-friction, manual processes across the organization with senior leadership guidance and replace them with automated systems
- Build workflows that integrate with internal systems (PMS, CRM, accounting tools, etc.)
- Automate recurring reporting, dashboards, and internal communications
3. Data Infrastructure & Intelligence
- Aggregate and structure internal and external datasets (operations, underwriting, comps, market data)
- Build internal databases for:
- Operational KPIs
- Underwriting benchmarks
- Market/comps intelligence
- Support development of scalable data pipelines that standardize decision-making
4. Modeling & Underwriting Support
- Build tools that improve underwriting speed and accuracy through pooled data and automation
- Assist in developing dynamic models leveraging aggregated datasets
- Explore AI-assisted modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
5. Rapid Prototyping & Product Testing
- Test emerging AI tools and APIs in real-time operating environments
- Build MVPs quickly, iterate, and deploy into production use
- Integrate AI solutions with SaaS platforms (Entrata, CRM systems, VOIP tools, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Anthropic Claude and/or other LLM platforms (OpenAI, etc.)
- Experience building AI workflows, automations, or agents (not just prompting)
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and connecting tools across systems
- Strong data handling skills (Python, SQL, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship real products or tools (startup, side projects, or internships)
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Startup or early-stage product experience (critical)
- Experience integrating with SaaS platforms (CRM, PMS, accounting systems, etc.)
- Exposure to automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.)
- Understanding of real estate, operations, or financial modeling (not required but valuable)
- Experience building internal tools vs. academic projects
- GA Tech students preferred
What You Will Build
By the end of the internship, you will have:
- Replaced multiple manual workflows with AI-driven systems
- Built internal tools actively used across the company
- Automated reporting and operational processes
- Created foundational data infrastructure for underwriting and operations
- Deployed at least 1–2 AI agents into production
Candidate Profile
- Builder mindset: you ship, test, and iterate quickly
- Highly resourceful and self-directed
- Strong problem solver focused on practical outcomes
- Comfortable working directly with leadership and external consultants
- Vocal. We want to hear your opinion
- Interested in applying AI to real-world business operations
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay ($25–$35/hr target range based on experience)
- Performance-based bonuses tied to deployed systems
- High exposure to leadership and real-world decision-making
- Potential for full-time offer based on performance
Notes
This role is intentionally demanding. The expectation is rapid execution, real deployment, and measurable impact. You will be working on systems that directly affect how a real estate operating company scales, performs, and differentiates in the market.
