The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.
The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The high-level goal for this Cloud Data Product Management role is to participate and help lead business product architecture initiatives by contributing as an Agile Product Owner. Acting as the voice of the business team and working closely with Technology and Enterprise Architecture partners, this role will support the development of a hybrid cloud strategy and features/capabilities roadmap that meet business needs. Will work cross-functionally with Tech Architects, Product Managers, Design Engineers, and Product Owners in a rapidly evolving environment. Accountable for establishing a secure and scalable cloud data environment, directing agile stories, and ensuring that business needs are documented and that commitments are fully addressed within product releases.
Our Cloud Data Service Team works with multiple business lines, and IT groups. You will have the opportunity to showcase your critical thinking and data skills across many disciplines. This role will be instrumental in shaping the direction of Enterprise Data. 

We are seeking qualified candidates with strong technical knowledge and expertise with the ability to effectively influence and communicate with IT and business stakeholders in order to develop new data management solutions. This role requires a strong analytical and strategic mindset, a problem solver with excellent people skills and the ability to motivate colleagues to implement strategic solutions that put the customer first. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the business product vision within the enterprise analytics data platform and build product roadmaps and migration plans in alignment with other data ecosystem sub products and business roadmaps. This includes ensuring incorporating Information Security, Privacy, Data migration plans, BCP considerations, unified release/incident management aspects are included amongst others
  • Partner with business lines, risk management to gather requirements are understood and met
  • Document and get buy-in on strategic plans and bee responsible for stakeholder management, communication, and satisfaction
  • Manage Agile product backlog to ensure transparency and accuracy of upcoming work. Engage with SCRUM Masters and team members on a regular basis to ensure assigned features are fully executed within the prescribed Program Increment
  • Decomposes Program Epic work requirements and priorities into features
  • Full accountability for execution of assigned Epics and associated products/deliverables
  • Facilitate and guide the development of metrics, structure of studies, benchmark initiatives, and data collection methodologies in support of business requirements
  • Actively participate in program increment planning, roadmap activities, and program prioritization and sequencing activities
  • Coordinate with Data Stewards and Data Quality Analysts on adherence with data standards and quality metrics
  • Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to gain consensus and produce the best solutions

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in data architecture and strategy




Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner
  • Experience with business usage, product strategy, product road-map for data warehousing and/or Enterprise Data Lake (MapR or HortonWorks, Cloudera)
  • Experience with Cloud Data transformation journey, establishing the key business considerations
  • Experience in developing product road-map and translating to a strategic plan
  • Experience building data technology products
  • Working knowledge of data persistence, ingestion, and access requirements
  • Ability to partner and communicate effectively with technology teams, delivering cloud/hybrid/on premise data lake/data-warehouse solutions meeting the needs of use case
  • Excellent ability to develop and build teams by assessing quality talent and motivating and inspiring others
  • Sound understanding of Agile Methodology and other project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated core project management skills including project planning, scope management, issue and risk management, resource planning, financial management, etc.
     




Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
