The Direct Hire Division of Consilio, LLC is working with a highly regarded law firm that is seeking to hire a Senior Information Governance Analyst to join either Washington, DC, Boston, MA or New York office. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Information Governance Analyst to lead our organization's information management initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement comprehensive information governance strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing document and data management processes. Duties
- Develop, maintain, and enforce policies related to document management systems, metadata standards, taxonomy structures, and archival processing to ensure consistent information governance practices across the organization.
- Manage and optimize content management systems such as SharePoint and iManage, ensuring efficient filing, digitization, and retrieval of records.
- Oversee compliance management activities by monitoring adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards related to records management and information security.
- Coordinate archival processing efforts in line with archival standards, ensuring proper classification, storage, and preservation of historical records.
- Conduct regular audits of information management practices, including proofreading documents for accuracy and consistency, verifying metadata accuracy, and assessing archives management procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve organizational skills related to data management, content organization, and records retention strategies.
- Provide training and guidance on best practices for document management systems, filing protocols, and information security measures to staff at all levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience with document management systems such as SharePoint or iManage; familiarity with content management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of metadata creation, taxonomy development, and classification schemes for effective information organization.
- Knowledge of compliance management frameworks relevant to records retention, data privacy laws, and information security protocols.
- Demonstrated expertise in records management principles, archives management techniques, and archival standards for long-term preservation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in digitization processes and archival processing workflows is preferred.
