Position: Data Engineer / Analyst

Location: Hybrid – Onsite 2 to 3 days / Remote 2 to 3 days in Irvine, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Compensation: $90,000–$95,000 base + comprehensive benefits

Overview

Data Engineer / Analyst to support SQL‑driven analytics and BI initiatives within a modern, cloud‑based data environment. This role blends data engineering fundamentals with analytical and reporting responsibilities, supporting both technical and business stakeholders. Experience with Domo is a plus, but not required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in a SQL‑centric data environment, including complex queries and data transformations
• Strong experience supporting BI and analytics use cases (data modeling, reporting, dashboards)
• Hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including cloud databases or data warehouses
• Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines (ETL/ELT concepts)
• Proven ability to QA data, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes across pipelines and reporting layers
• Ability to partner with stakeholders to analyze historical data and define KPIs and metrics
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and communicate insights clearly
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with Domo (dashboards, reporting, or data visualization)
• Exposure to additional BI or self‑service analytics tools

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain SQL‑based data models to support reporting and analytics needs
• Develop and support BI dashboards and reports used by business stakeholders
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud‑based data pipelines and transformations
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accurate, reliable reporting outputs
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
• Support continuous improvement of data processes, queries, and reporting workflows
• Help ensure data solutions are both technically sound and business‑usable

Pay range and compensation package

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000. Benefits are available including medical, vision, and dental, and life and disability insurance. Employees hired for our FTEP Program are also eligible to enroll in our company’s 401(k) or deferred compensation plan (if eligible).
