Role: Data Center Technician (L2) Technician


Service Scope:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server-related issues to identify and isolate root causes, working closely with remote network and system administrators.
  • Coordinate procurement of replacement hardware components, perform installations, and manage return shipments of defective parts to vendors.
  • Execute server firmware upgrades to ensure systems run on the latest approved versions.
  • Configure server IP addresses and default access credentials in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with network administrators to resolve infrastructure issues, including cable replacement or re-routing, optics replacement on servers and switch ports, and hardware upgrades.
  • Perform temporary racking, stacking, and cabling of servers and switches to facilitate remote configuration and validation by network teams.
  • Provide hands-on support for ad hoc requests involving servers and network switches.
  • Carry out structured cabling of server and network devices based on approved wiring diagrams and validate connectivity with network administrators.
  • Conduct physical inspections and audits of servers, components, and consumables to maintain accurate inventory records.
