Data Center Senior Project Manager

Fire & Life Safety - Fire Protection

Location: Apollo Beach, FL (with travel across Texas and other states)

Compensation: $90,000 -$120,000 + Package


We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale fire and life safety construction programs in mission‑critical data centers. This role manages one to two complex projects at a time, integrating fire sprinkler, pre‑action, fire alarm, special hazards suppression, and underground systems — ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead planning, execution, and closeout of major data center fire protection projects.
  • Develop project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, manpower, and procurement.
  • Manage change orders, budgets, and cost‑to‑complete reporting.
  • Serve as primary client contact for hyperscale developers, colocation operators, and general contractors.
  • Coordinate across trades, superintendents, and project coordinators for seamless execution.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, FM Global requirements, and AHJ specifications.


Requirements


  • 7+ years of fire and life safety project management experience.
  • Proven track record in data center or mission‑critical construction.
  • Experience with pre‑action, clean agent suppression, and fire alarm systems.
  • Strong financial management skills (budget tracking, cost reporting, change orders).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • NICET Level III (Sprinkler) or higher strongly preferred; additional NICET certifications a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Texas and other states.
