The Data & Analytics Enablement Analyst | Center of Excellence Lead is responsible for empowering a diverse community of data and analytics professionals – including data scientists, analysts, engineers, specialists, and platform owners – through developing best practices, curating technical resources, elevating expertise, supporting knowledge sharing and technical skill development, and driving consistency in analytics capabilities and workflows. This role sits within a broader data and analytics enablement team of professionals with expertise in analytics, instruction, program management, and communication who would be primary partners; the Center of Excellence Lead will serve as the primary technical contributor within the team. 

The ideal candidate combines practitioner experience working within a complex data ecosystem with a passion for simplifying complexity, elevating practitioner capability, and driving consistent, high‑quality data practices across the enterprise. 

Key Responsibilities

Data & Analytics Practitioner Workflow Optimization:

  • Partner with teams to understand the organization’s data architecture, governance frameworks, data platforms, and tools utilized by data and analytics practitioners across the enterprise.

  • Compare existing technical workflows across practitioner teams to internal and industry best practices to surface inefficiencies, capability gaps, and technical training opportunities. 

  • Identify practitioner gaps or friction points in adopting enterprise standards, tools, and workflows and propose solutions to facilitate adoption. 

  • Monitor data and analytics platforms for userreported or systemdetected issues, and partner with engineering teams to resolve access, performance, or workflow blockers.

Resource Support for Technical Tools and Platforms

  • Lead in the planning of in-person, virtual, and recorded workshops and training for practitioners across a wide geographic footprint. Responsibilities include agenda development, access provisioning, presenter selection, and event facilitation. 

  • Curate enablement resource assets to support practitioner needs, such as sample code, onboarding guides, instructional videos, and other self-service resources.

  • Develop and maintain a directory of data assets including owners, recommended use cases, distribution lists, office hours, and links to other resources.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure enablement assets and resources curated by partnering teams align with current standards, business priorities, and enterprise best practices. 

Learning and Development Support for Technical Skills

  • Lead the development and execution of technical challenges (ex: datathons and hackathons). Tasks include task management; collaborating with stakeholders; curating challenge questions, datasets, and rubrics; and facilitating challenge events.

  • Collaborate with people managers and learning teams to inform technical skill development strategies, including badges (Tableau, SQL, Python, et cetera) to ensure skill needs are met.

  • Partner with the data and analytics early career program to support expedited onboarding of talent. Identify pain points and advocate for scalable onboarding solutions.

    Resource Repository Management

  • Contribute to the development of an intuitive, well-organized resource repository via SharePoint that helps practitioners easily access resources to support their workflows. 
  • Research compatible features to aid practitioners in locating materials. Partner with teams in feature development – for ex semantic search, chatbot, tagging, keyword mapping.
  • Partner with intranet management colleagues to provide key words to ensure the resource repository is discoverable by colleagues searching for resources via the intranet.
  • Manage an annual process to update data and analytics acronyms to the enterprise repository.

Continuous Improvement & Team support

  • Partner with team members to define and track performance metrics aimed at overall community engagement, adoption of best practices and tooling, and skill development.
  • Use insights from metrics and practitioner feedback to refine enablement strategies.
  • Partner with a range of internal teams in pursuit of goals such as access provisioning, technology services, cyber security, data architecture, and platform and tool owners.

  • Support the broader enablement team in support of the data and analytics community. Such activities include co-managing Outlook accounts, assisting in technical instruction for upskilling colleagues in data literacy, and supporting planning for large community of practice events. 

Required Education and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, analytics, or related technical field

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a technical practitioner. Preferred – enablement experience with responsibilities aligned to this role. 

  • Familiarity with modern enterprise data platforms, cloud environments, and analytics tools used across the practitioner community – SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, Collibra, Informatica, AWS (e.g., SageMaker, Redshift), Alteryx, Dbeaver, SharePoint, 

  • Possess an understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance-driven controls within a heavily regulated industry.

    Preferred Experiences

  • Experience translating ambiguous objectives into structured plans, defining project scope, milestones, and solutions to address blockers. 
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment where practitioners feel comfortable asking questions and building skills.
  • Ability to create clear, engaging training resources for practitioners. Preferred experience planning or coordinating technical events or workshops.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences preferred. Ability to adhere to team communication standards required.

 

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $145,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
